You can have mimosa flowers all year round with this downloadable embroidery pattern!

I originally created this pattern for International Women's Day workshops, inspired by the European tradition of gifting yellow flowers, usually Mimosa Flowers, to women on March 8th. But the design is too pretty to only use once a year, and you don't have to stick with yellow flowers (lilac works, too!).

This is a really lovely beginner pattern, especially for anyone who loves floral designs (who doesn't), as it teaches you three fundamental stitches often used for floral embroidery.

This pattern includes:

  • Materials List
  • DMC Colour Guide
  • A to-scale outline of the pattern for tracing onto the fabric
  • Detailed stitch instructions with easy to follow photos
  • A step-by-step guide that takes you through what stitch and thread to use in each section
  • Handy tips and tricks for working with the materials, plus suggestions for ways you can make the design your own

Don't want to have to go out and by all your own materials etc. If you live in the UK you can a full DIY Mimosa Flower kit right here.
