Marvellous Mushrooms DIY Embroidery Kit

Stitch your own Marvellous Mushrooms with this DIY embroidery kit, designed by Hoop & Fred and using the gorgeous Fyberspates Luxury Embroidery Thread.

Beginner - Intermediate Level

This is the perfect kit for beginners, as the downloadable pattern guides you through every stitch, or for an experienced stitcher looking to experiment with different threads.

What’s included in this kit:

- A card with a link to download your stitch and pattern guide (which will also be automatically emailed to you)
- A 6 inch wooden embroidery hoop
- A 9 inch square of calico cotton fabric, with the pattern printed on in washable fabric ink (so when your finished the pattern disappears in warm water)
- Two needles
- Three skeins of Fyberspates Luxury Embroidery thread

With this kit, you’ll learn four different stitches and how to use the beautiful Fyberspates thread to its fullest extent.

Why Embroidery?

Embroidery is the perfect art for people looking to take an hour or so out of their day and find some peace.

Every stitch forces you to slow down and be in the moment. It keeps your hands and mind busy, and if you make a mistake, it’s easy to correct.

Embroidery came into my life when I needed it most, right at the beginning of the lockdown. When my anxiety was sky high, I found a craft that could distract from the never-ending news cycle when nothing else could. I know ‘mindful’ is a word thrown around a lot, but as someone who has never managed to meditate, I know that embroidery can provide the respite so many desperately need.

Calico is natural untreated cotton, which means it has a lovely natural cream and speckled look to it.
