- A 6-inch wooden embroidery hoop
- A 9-inch square of calico cotton fabric, with the pattern printed on in washable fabric ink (so when you're finished, the pattern disappears in warm water)
- Two needles
- One seein of Fyberspates Luxury Embroidery thread

Why Embroidery?

Embroidery is the perfect art for people looking to take an hour or so out of their day and find some peace.

Every stitch forces you to slow down and be in the moment. It keeps your hands and mind busy, and if you make a mistake, it’s easy to correct.

Embroidery came into my life when I needed it most, right at the beginning of the lockdown. When my anxiety was sky high, I found a craft that could distract from the never-ending news cycle when nothing else could. I know ‘mindful’ is a word thrown around a lot, but as someone who has never managed to meditate, I know that embroidery can provide the respite so many desperately need.
