8-inch Yellow Flower Hoop

An 8 inch floral embroidery hoop created using acrylic ink finished with a hand-stitched modern floral line art design.

The calico fabric (which has a natural and speckled texture to it) has been hand-stained with acrylic inks, and mixed to create the abstract floral background. The line flowers are stitched using high-quality black DMC thread.

The piece is stitched securely into the hoop with a felt backing, so will lie flat against the wall if hung up, or can be perched on a stand/shelf.

The ‘Where The Flowers Grow’ collection is inspired by nature and flower.

Each piece is totally unique. Created by dropping acrylic ink onto damp fabric, and allowing it to move and dry organically. I then take this as the starting point for where and what flower design should go on the hoop.

This piece took 20 hours in total to create.

All hoops are photographed in natural daylight. Due to differences in screen settings, colours may differ slightly between photos and the physical product. I have captured the true colours to the best of my ability.
